Excellence in Service
The Glendora After Stroke Center has spent over five decades building a compassionate community for survivors. Recognition as the 2025 Nonprofit of the Year by the Glendora Chamber of Commerce celebrates our legacy. As a 501(c)(3) funded by the City of Glendora and local donations, we focus on fostering resilience and transparency.
History
Founded in 1973 by Dr. Herbert Johnson of Casa Colina, the Glendora After Stroke Center ("After Strokers") was created to provide long-term resources and support for stroke survivors beyond short-term rehab. Fifty years later, the organization continues his legacy as a free, non-profit support group offering weekly guidance and community for stroke survivors and their caregivers.
